February was a BUSY month of travel. As I look back I realize why this week we are home resting. Thank you Lord for the break!
During February we were all sick at one point or another. Libby had an ear infection and I had a cold. Billy had a cold as well. Billy and I thought our colds were gone and then I realized my cold moved into my eyes. If you've never experienced that -you're lucky! So, I looked goofy in my glasses for the second time this year. While we were in East Texas for ministry work, Billy's ear started throbbing. After visiting a gracious ER doctor in his home we discovered that Billy had a raging ear infection. We ended up having to cancel one event because his ear was so bad off. It's actually still giving him some trouble, but the dr. says it will clear up soon.
While in East Texas, we were able to stay with Billy's family and Libby loved hanging out with Grammy, Papa Boots, Cousin Brooke, Aunt Wendy and Uncle Robbie. She really had a lot of fun! I've included several pictures from our time with them.
We've had cold weather and warm weather. I'm really looking forward to spring and getting Libby outside more often. She loves the outdoors. Every afternoon we take her on a walk to the mailbox and down the street a ways.
Libby is just blossoming in every way. She's taller! At her 15 month check up she was 31 1/2 inches tall - that's 4 inches taller than when we first received her. She's in the 80th. percentile on the American girl charts which is pretty tall for an Asian girl. She's losing some of that "baby look". And starting to really look like a toddler. She's now wearing 18 month clothes. I really can't believe that! She's pretending- A Lot! She feeds her baby dolls and has tea parties and plays at her little kitchen likes she's cooking and organizing. Her new words are "open", "papa" and she's also now saying "baby" and "all done". She does her sign language with those last two words. Her signing is really coming along too. Libby loves to dance now. She sticks her little butt out and bends her knees and claps to the music. Libby's down to just one bottle - her night time bottle. She eats lots of table foods now and is starting to feed herself.
Libby loves bubbles so we go outside to blow those often. It seems like her smile just keeps getting bigger and happier. She is just so precious. We've been to a couple of play groups in the last week. Libby loves other kids, especially the older kids. She loves to chase people and lately we've been running around the living room, waving our arms in the air and screaming just for fun. It's a blast seeing her mimic us and play along.
Well, the little princess just awoke so I must go!
Blessings and love,
Cindy
