So much has happened since our last update. Where do we start!?
In the first part of this month we traveled to our 3rd. ministry event since coming home with Libby. This time we drove. I (Cindy) was a little nervous about the long drive, but Libby did great. We drove 4 hours to Dallas first and stayed with our friends Richard and Paige Henderson. They took great care of us (and dinner was soooooooo delicious! Thanks Paige!). Then we drove 6 hours to Tulsa (it takes longer than usual with a baby). We started our event with Awe Star and Battle Creek Church that evening. It was a great event. We enjoyed being with Awe Star again and Battle Creek is a great church. We then left to immediately start our 4th. event at East Texas Baptist University for the Spiritual Emphasis week. Dr. Woo from Houston was the speaker. He did a fabulous job. It was during this event that Aunt Wendy and Uncle Robbie and Cousin Brooke got to meet Libby for the first time. It was so cute seeing the two girls together (pictures below). Brooke was so sweet and wanted to share all her toys with Libby. Winky and BC came every evening to watch Libby and she did great. Grammy and Papa Boots did a great job too! We are so grateful for all their help!
Then we drove 8 hours back to San Antonio. When we returned home we stripped Libby down to her diaper and let her loose. She went crazy crawling and rolling all over the living room floor. She was so happy to be home and to be out of her car seat.
Libby is now walking. She's still not very stable, but we counted 26 steps one time - so she's really getting around. Very CUTE!
Libby's upper front teeth are coming in. So she's a little cranky off and on. She also received a second round of shots and ran a fever for a day. But other than that she is healthy and adjusted and beautiful and sweet and... oh, I could just go on and on!
Baby dedication was Sunday, Nov. 12. When they announced Libby's name everyone clapped for her and she started clapping and smiling. Everyone thought she was so adorable. Mommy was proud! Sunday night we led worship at Alamo City. We ALWAYS enjoy Alamo City! Our drummer, Kevin, his wife, Angela, and their 2 year old daughter Kennedy came to stay with us for the weekend. Kennedy was great with Libby. There's a picture of them together below.
Libby is LOVING books. She crawls into our laps and wants us to read to her all the time and she loves to turn the pages. Mommy's going to have to buy her some more books for her upcoming first birthday.
So, I think I highlighted all the changes and events of the first part of Nov. There is sure to be more as Grammy and Aunt Wendy are throwing Libby a big first birthday party. Then there's Thanksgiving and Billy's 40th birthday. Whew - WHAT A MONTH!
Love you all!
