Libby is doing so well. She woke up at 6am. We could hear her feeling around the inside of the crib as she tried to find the bottle the orphanage used to drop in. No need for that any more, little girl. You have a mommy and daddy to feed you.
Libby is such a happy baby! She giggles and babbles all day long. She is very verbal!
Our only appointments today were to pick up our official adoption certificate and then apply for Libby's passport. Once that was done we were back at the hotel with a whole free day ahead.
Today is the first day my body has reminded me that sleep and food are necessary. I've been so excited for the last several days that I've barely had any of either. So, I was sleepy most of the day and very hungry. McDonald's cured the hunger for lunch and Danny's Bagels for dinner - YUM!
For free time Libby took a good nap and then we went shopping. Dee, if you're reading this I can't seem to find the multilevel mall you drew out for me. We found the Dong Fang Shops, but it's only one floor. Second floor is completely gutted out for repairs. I'm hoping I just found the wrong place and you can send me in the right direction again. Wendy, I found a pale pink traditional gown for Brooke's window box. It's really pretty.
After shopping, it was time for a swim. I put on Libby's adorable bikini and off we went. She loved the pool! She splashed around everywhere getting water all over her face and she loved it.
When we returned to the room Libby was all giggles - so cute! I laid her on her back and put my face several inches from hers. She would reach up and pet my face and stroke my hair as she studied my face. It was a great bonding moment. She's starting to prefer our embraces over others. That's a good thing.
Lastly, most of the girls from the XuWen orphanage and their families gathered in the Wilson's room for play time. We all ate dinner and watched the girls play. I've included a photo of that.
We've taken some really cute photos of Libby today - so enjoy. We tried to upload a cute video, but it was taking FOREVER - so we canceled that and opted to just stick with the photos - sorry!
Tomorrow everyone is going to the zoo, but we decided to stay in and chill. We're going to walk in a park or something and do our best to keep Libby on her schedule. It will be a good family time for us. A whole day of free time! I don't think I'll know what to do with that.
Again, We love you all and are so grateful for all the prayers you've lifted up on our behalf. We are blessed!
Love,
Billy and Cindy
