Hello From Beijing!!!

We woke up at 3:45 AM on Aug. 31st and our taxi cab arrived at our house at 5:10AM. At 5am I realized that my bags weighed too much and I frantically started tossing stuff out. When we got to the airport our luggage was just one pound over - NO PROBLEM!!

Upon arriving at the airport we met with Doug and Cristie Martine who are also adopting. You can follow their journey at: www.journeytomaliah.com. We are so thankful the Lord put them in our lives. The journey wouldn't be the same without them.

There's not much to tell you so far. We just arrived at our hotel (Sept. 1, 5pm Beijing time) after staring at the back of an airplane seat for way too many hours. Praise the Lord - our luggage all made it safely and it's been delivered to our room already.

We're getting ready to make a trip to China's version of a Wal-Mart where we will buy our bottled water and snacks for the weekend. Should be an interesting adventure.

Thank you for all your prayers. Our trip was flawless today because the Lord was faithful to answer.
